McALLEN – The United Way of South Texas Board of Directors thanks another long time supporter, South Texas Health System (STHS), including McAllen Medical Center, McAllen Heart Hospital, South Texas Behavioral Health, Edinburg Children’s Hospital and Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Doug Matney, Group CEO, and other hospital administrators recognize the impact made by programs and services provided by United Way funded agencies. STHS was ranked 7th of the Top 10 local employee Campaigns in Hidalgo and Starr Counties; employees donated over $72,000 for services that range from high school dropout prevention, child victim advocacy, substance abuse program, health issues and disaster relief. The STHS Employee Campaign is coordinated by Joel Pena, Director of Volunteer Services.
