United Way of South Texas is proud of its partnership with School Districts in Hidalgo and Starr Counties. District employees, at all levels, engaged with thousands of children, parents and family members that also utilize services provided by United Way agencies.
Individuals may be referred to counseling services, emergency shelters, English courses, job training programs and other activities that strengthen families. Five Golden Apple Awards are presented to the Top Contributing Districts in the areas.
