The 23rd All Valley Carving Show will take place on Jan. 30 and 31 at the Pharr International Convention Center. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is a $2 donation at the door and children under 12 are admitted free.

The show is presented by the Rio Grande Valley Wood Carvers and will display over 300 entries in 57 style categories. Tool and supply vendors will be on site. Artists work will be up for sale at the show. Door prizes every 30 minutes and a show grand prize drawing will be held Saturday. The 2009 show judge will be Steve Schoolar.

The Rio Grande Valley Wood Carvers is a non-profit organization and has over 200 members from all over the U.S. and Canada. The club meets every Thursday during the months of November through March at the Pharr Nomad Shrine building on E. Nolana Loop in Pharr.
