Wedding best wishes go out to Christine Boudloche & Brandon Wallace, who married last Saturday. His parents are Karen & Bob Wallace . . .

Kudos to Carrie Guerra, for putting together the annual St. John’s Christmas pageant this coming Sunday. Four-year-olds and younger can be either lambs or angels without benefit of rehearsal, just as they are in everyday life! Don’t miss it at 9 a.m.!

Speaking of Christmas, Kelly Dizdar and her daughter Bailey (look for her at Uniques) are great at sharing holiday warmth, as is their cute little doggie, who shared excitement with Peggy Nix! Bill Nix is good at pick-up and delivery . . .

These ladies are great cooks and hostesses: Margot Thompson, Vickie Aikman, Nancy Hawkins, Caroline Moore, Bonnie Smith, Cheri Whitlock, and Geen Wilkins. (Didn’t actually see Geen there, but I do know she is a great cook.)

Saw Carol Dearth, Sandra Frost, Kathy Haynes, Sandra Imhoof, Liz Tanberg, Patsy & Jane Kittleman, Kathleen Vinger, Barbara Parry, Barbara Riley, Gayle Runnels, Joann Ryerson, Marilyn Moffitt, Margaret Baltis, and Betty Coffman among the crowd . . .

Just for Marian Turk and Kathy Haynes, I gave a whole new meaning to falling on your fanny for a program. Don’t say “break a leg” to a performer for luck — I didn’t, just barely . . .

Right before the fabulous Valley Orchestra and Chorale Christmas symphony, saw Jamie Hardwicke, Carolyn & Ken Landrum at Macaroni Grill, then saw Mara Lessa & Alter Holand among the crowd . . .

Saw Melinda & Ruben Bosquez at that “Touch of Frost” concert, and we were charmed by the talented UTPA folklorico/mariachis, as well as the rest of the well-planned evening. McAllen Mayor Richard Cortez started off the event with lights . . .

Visited with Libby Brown and Austin Miller, who as usual gave a little added punch to the start of December . . .

Had fun also seeing Annie Miller, Laura Ilgun, Laura Mesquita, Betty Bloomfield, Ann Williams, Debbie Wilson, and Karen Moxley in the holiday spirit . . .

This story is too good not to tell — Kelly Moxley, Karen’s daughter, was out to eat with her then-boyfriend at a restaurant in Juneau, Alaska, where Harrison Ford & Calista Flockhart were also dining. Boyfriend disappears for a moment and who should appear but Harrison Ford with an engagement ring for Kelly. Mr. Ford said that he was honored to ask Kelly to marry her finance. Sure enough, Kelly accepted (more details later) — had to be way more fun for a famous star than signing an autograph!

Note — today is December 17th — we must finish our holiday shopping, cooking, and decorating, or decide that we’re not going to do any of it!

More sweet animals are needing homes with Recycled Rovers and Friends, 302 El Dora Road, Donna, according to President Joe Leitch. Check them out at 867-0908, or 562-4421, or www.animalcenter.org/home4theholidays . . .

Birthday cheer for yesterday goes to Norman Linkenhoger; and for today to Cynthia Sakulenzki, who has really been busy . . .

Happy December 18th birthday for tomorrow is wished to Julia Scott, Haley Marriott, John Brattin, and Basil Toyloy . . .
