EDINBURG Joe Castro, store manager of Staples in Edinburg, stands with his employees and Junior Staff after a day of back to school shopping. In an effort to ensure needed school supplies reaches those who are less fortunate and helps kids in need, Boys & Girls Clubs of Edinburg RGV and the Staples in Edinburg store partnered to award 50 Club members with back to school supplies.

Those club members and their families will not have to worry about having enough to purchase back to school supplies this year. With the help of the Junior Staff program and Staples Associates and Customers school supplies have been purchased and have been stuffed in backpacks for Club members first day of school. This year, 13 Junior Staff members were able to be a part of the experience, helping out their fellow club members. As part of the Junior Staff program, members get involved with their community, their club and enjoy giving back. Each Junior Staff member was given a school supply list and went shopping! Junior Staff members made sure all school supplies needed for each club member was purchased.

"It is a great opportunity for the Junior Staff to give back to the younger club members at the club. They understand how hard it is for some families. They are proud of what they can do for the kids," said Program Supervisor, Teen Services Araceli Valencia.
