The McAllen Chamber is hosting the Green Living Speaker Series to be held monthly at the McAllen Chamber of Commerce.

The Green Living Speaker Series is a selection of topics chosen to educate the community on how to save money while being environmentally conscious while leading up to the Green Living Festival to be held Oct. 17.

The next seminar, “How Trees Can Save Money,” will be presented by Mark Kroeze and will be held Tuesday, June 9, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Each seminar is free and open to the public.

“We have some highly respected speakers who are sharing their expertise in this field. We wish to invite the public to join us for these great events in the coming months,” said Nancy Millar, Vice President for the McAllen Chamber of Commerce Convention & Visitors’ Bureau. “The Green Living Speaker Series was designed to reach out to the community; helping to answer several questions and concerns when it comes to learning to live a green lifestyle. This series gives the community a way to learn how to save money through energy conservation as well as helping the environment.”
