Jaber at the Art Village makes a $200 donation to the Food Bank RGV via the 2011 GO TEXAN Restaurant Round-Up, July 25-31.

During the Round-Up, local restaurants made dishes from locally grown ingredients and proceeds went to local food banks across Texas. Hundreds of restaurants and wineries highlighted their best Lone Star tastes between July 25-31 during the 2011 GO TEXAN Restaurant Round-Up, presented by Farm Credit.

South Texas chefs created special menu offerings and food and wine pairings using fresh, locally grown ingredients. A portion of Round-Up proceeds benefitted local food banks including the Food Bank RGV. Chef Jaber went above and beyond and donated a higher percentage of sales than the standard 5-10% in support of the Food Bank RGV, stating that he wanted to help those who had less during this difficult time.
