The public is invited to come to McAllen’s grand folklife celebration at the beautiful McAllen Convention Center on Saturday and Sunday, October 3 and 4 from noon to 8 p.m. daily.
Palmfest Folklife Celebration and the McAllen Heritage Center are pleased to present a fantastic classic car event to celebrate and honor the heritage of the classic automobiles of South Texas. Over 100 of the finest classic cars will be on display during PalmFest and each day will conclude with a phenomenal vintage car parade.
All vehicles on display will be at least 20 years or older to ensure the classic nature of this display and participation from several area clubs has been confirmed as www.southtexasmopars.com and www.rgvpontiacs.com will spearhead this effort. If you admire the fine classic lines of vintage Detroit iron, then this is the place to be.
Along with the great PalmFest lineup of events sure to please the entire family, a car show is a great place to bring the kids and have fun while participating in a social event and a history lesson in one. Come show them what it was like when cars didn’t have air conditioning, CD players, cup holders, dvd entertainment systems or air bags.
The South Texas Mopars and RGV Pontiacs look forward to seeing you at the Classic Car Show at PalmFest and invite you to be a part of this historic event. If you own a classic car and would like to be a part of this, please feel free to contact David Guzman 956-821-4344 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Participants will have an opportunity to win awards, trophies, and door prizes.
