The Pharr Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Consulate of Mexico in McAllen, will host the 3rd annual Mexico Artisan Show “Shop Mexico — Pharr Closer Than You Think.”
The event will take place at Pharr International Convention Center, located at 3000 N. Cage Blvd. in Pharr, Friday March 20, through Sunday, March 22, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The exhibition will feature over 100 direct manufacturers from various parts of Mexico, such as Guanajuato, Nuevo Leon, Distrito Federal, San Luis Potosi, Puebla and many more.
The purpose of the event is to offer artists and artisans from Mexico an opportunity to showcase their unique products to Rio Grande Valley residents and Winter Texans. There will be a wide variety of merchandise: hand-crafted Talavera, textiles, decorative candles, oil paintings, silver jewelry, leather goods, pewter and much more.
All products will be available to the public and distributors for purchase. Also, during this cultural three-day extravaganza, there will be various folkloric presentations from many different regions of Mexico.
Don’t miss this annual opportunity to experience Mexico in Pharr and explore the Mexican handiwork, art and music, but all brought to you much closer to home.
