The Univ. of Texas Pan American will present “Website Creation to any interested small business owners on June 23 at the Small Business Development Center (UTPA Annex) Computer Lab from 9 to 11 a.m. The workshop for intermediate and advanced computer users will cover when it is right to get a website, pitfalls of having a website, doing yourself or paying someone, and much more. Co-hosting the workshop is the McAllen Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Seating is limited so immediate registration is suggested by calling the MHCC at 928-0060. “Businesses are oopting to do more and more business through the use of the Internet. It is important that small businesses realize the benefit of this technology to stay competitive. This workshop will teach participants how to set up their own website to promote their business.
