Best wishes are sent to Heather Brand & Graham Dyer, who were wed on April 4, 2009, in Dallas. Her proud McAllen parents are Deborah Case Kryzak and Othal Brand, Jr., and her grandparents are former Mayor Othal & Kay Brand. Heather is an accountant with Southwest Airlines, and her new hubby is also an accountant, so those two should be able to keep books!

Saw Susie Weisberg, Robbie Hohenstein, Maria Teresa Garza, B. B. Crane, Ann Moore and lots of other ladies having beautiful hair days . . .

Had a fun déjà vu chat with Carolyn Maddux Bell, who is living in Mission and married to Jerry Bell. She is totally enjoying retirement, though we all know that doesn't totally equal "not working." It might, however, mean seriously enjoying life . . .

Saw spunky Eunice Inglés, who had had some fun playing tennis, then I'm sure enjoyed Pan American Round Table yesterday . . .

Last week I failed to mention Cindee Godinez, who is to be commended for her ongoing hard creative work on the Junior League of McAllen's annual skit. Way to go, Cindee!

Tomorrow will be the final symphony of the year, where you can hear UTPA violin professor Diana Seitz play Paganini's violin concerto #1. Plus, on Mother's Day (this coming Sunday folks!) the youth symphony will have a concert. Check it all out on the symphony website at www.valleyorchestra.org . . .

Though I would love to claim her, too, this Diana Seitz is no relation . . .

Saw the lovely Beth Pace at McAllen's airport, and isn't Continental lucky to have her?

If you haven't already voted absentee, don't forget to vote this coming Saturday, May 9th, in McAllen's city/school board elections. Good for Chris Ardis and Patty Fallek for the reminders . . .

A big thank you goes out to the Junior League's Kelsey Everhard Martin, who has jumped in with both feet and already helped me out with JL birthdays . . .

Tomorrow morning bright and early, from 6:30 to 8 a.m., the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce will sponsor their annual Mayor's Prayer Breakfast, honoring Mayor Joe Ochoa. Call 383-4974 to see if they have room for you . . .

Hope your Cinco de Mayo was fun yesterday, and that you supported the economy by shopping, maybe? Celebrating Cinco de Mayo birthdays yesterday were Laura Ilgun, Thelma Leal, Valorie Glass, Sharron Smith, Gene Ashwander, and Katrina Te . . .

Happy belated birthday to Ariane Perez of San Juan for April 25th just past. (Some columnist filed that info, then forgot to "unfile" it. Sorry.)

Happy birthday today to Amy Cunningham, Anne Marie Franks, Paula Moxley, and, for us, a new addition to the family that you'll hear about next week!

Birthday greetings for tomorrow go out to Philip Cunningham (yup, almost the same as his wife's, but he was wise to leave the day all to her!), the previously mentioned Beth Pace, Diane Farley, Jacob Sullivan, and Lindsey Welch . . .

Note to all readers: the following phone number is not the newspaper's phone number; it is a number just for this column. Call in your "I See You" news to 686-8056, or mail to the Town Crier. Remember, at least one week ahead!
