See the spectacular blooms of Rio Grande Valley native plants during the upcoming “Spring Blooms Tour” at the Edinburg Scenic Wetlands and World Birding Center. On Saturday, April 18, from 9 to 11 a.m., Scenic Wetlands’ staff naturalist, Javier de Leon, will introduce participants to the dazzling variety of colors and forms of native plants and their flowers.

“Spring Blooms Tour” will include a short presentation about the wonderful diversity of plants found in the valley, and a leisurely walk through the Scenic Wetlands four-acre butterfly garden. During the walking tour, de Leon will show participants the many of plants currently in blooming in the garden and talk about their benefits to animals and people.

Register early for this family friendly program! Fees for the “Spring Blooms Tour” are $3 for EWBC members and $5.00 for non-members. The Edinburg Scenic Wetlands and World Birding Center is located at 714 S. Raul Longoria (in the Edinburg Municipal Park) in Edinburg, Texas.
