South Texas Business, Education & Technology Academy (BETA) will host an Earth Day ceremony with a Native American influence on Wednesday, April 22 at 10 a.m. at the BETA outdoor stage.

In honor of the Native American culture, which is known for respecting the life-giving earth, the Earth Day ceremony will unfold in four movements.

Earth Day began on April 22, 1970 and remains the largest environmental education event in the world. On Earth Day, people are encouraged to do their part to protect the earth and its natural resources and practice the motto, “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.” The purpose of Earth Day is to ensure a healthy, sustainable environment for future generations.
