The Rio Grande Valley is one of the country’s top destinations for watching birds. Learn all about birdwatching and see a few of the valley’s special birds during Basic Bird I.D. for All Ages at the Edinburg Scenic Wetlands and World Birding Center. This short course is perfect for anyone interested in learning about birds and birdwatching. Participants will enjoy a short presentation about the history and importance of birdwatching and how to begin watching and identifying birds. The group will get a chance to practice skills discussed during the presentation during a leisurely walk around the grounds.

Basic Bird I.D. will take place on Saturday March 14th, from 8:30 am to 11:00 am. This program is for beginner bird watchers of all ages. If needed, binoculars can be rented for free to be used during this program. The fee for this program is $3.00 for Edinburg Wetlands members and $5.00 for non-members. Space is limited, so please call ahead to reserve your space(s).
