McALLEN – Join Richard Moore, outdoor reporter, as he presents his newest documentary "Historic Ranches of South Texas". Moore's work captures the history of great ranches in South Texas and how they've survived for generations because of the love of the land and wildlife. The program will be held at Quinta Mazatlan, Thursday, Dec. 8, 6 to 7 p.m.
Moore is a South Texas native who grew up hunting, fishing and exploring the wildlands of the Rio Grande Valley. After earning his journalism degree from Trinity University in San Antonio he returned to the Valley where for the past two decades he has photographed, written and produced a television series featuring the regions abundant wildlife. His programs air on the CBS affiliate KGBT news programs.
The McAllen Great Outdoor Nature Series takes place Thursday evenings through April 2011 and is proudly sponsored by Thurmond Eye Associates.
The program fee is $2 per person and no advance reservation is required.
