The International Museum of Art & Science (IMAS) is thrilled to announce Clownin' Around, another exciting workshop for children ages 7-13. This fun-filled class will take place on Sunday, July 17, from 2-4 p.m., with a registration fee of $10 for IMAS Members and $12 for non-members.

In this Clownin' Around Workshop, participants will learn the art of face painting, how to create basic animal balloons, silly jokes, and how to adopt a character - a tool many clowns use to entertain their audience.

Clownin'Around will be led by Teensy Weensy the Clown, whose favorite hobby is making people of all ages smile and laugh by incorporating a variety of songs, dances, face painting, and animal balloons to create memorable moments. Teensy Weensy the Clown, also known as April-Michelle Gomez is a theatre major at the University of Texas-Pan American and has clowned at birthday parties, church festivals, nursing homes, hospitals and high profile events like the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

IMAS invites the public to visit the museum on Sunday, July 3rd for FREE General Admission and a chance to meet Teensy Weensy the Clown in person who will make an appearance between 2-4 p.m. Registration for the Clownin' Around Workshop opens Monday, June 27, so mark your calendars and register your child for laughs and good old-fashioned memories. Registration deadline is Friday, July 15th at 5pm and space is limited.
