The Upper Valley Art League is hosting the11th Annual UTRGV School of Art Juried Exhibition. It will open with a reception on Sat. April 8 from 7-9 p.m at the Kika de la Garza Fine Arts Center, 921 E. 12th St. in Mission. The exhibition will feature the work of students from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
The public will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite artwork. The work chosen will receive the “People’s Choice Award” and will be used to promote next year’s exhibition. Last year’s winner was Gods by Carlos Gonzalez.
The exhibition runs through Friday, May 5, and is free and open to the public. The gallery is open Tue - Fri 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sat. 2 to 6 p.m.. Please call to confirm hours.
