Girl Scout Troop 4105 of McAllen is pleased to announce and recognize the recipients of the Bronze Award. The Bronze Award is the highest honor a Girl Scout Junior can achieve. When a Girl Scout Junior receives the Bronze Award, it represents what Girl Scouts can achieve in their communities. This year's recipients each devoted over 30 hours to volunteer to investigate the community, identify a need, present their ideas, create a plan and set the plan into motion.
The Bronze Award recipients partnered with the Laurie P. Andrews PAWS Center to provide pet beds and cat condos to the furry residents. The Bronze Award recipients applied the Girl Scout Law by taking donations and upcycling old sweaters, t-shirts, and pillows to create 40 pet beds and 20 cat condos, which all were donated to the Laurie P. Andrews PAWS Center. Girl Scout Troop 4105 Bronze Award Recipients: Hailey Garcia, Claire Knecht, Darby McGurk, Gabriela Ramirez.
