Mission FFA (Future Farmers of America) had a successful year participating in numerous events throughout the school year. On May 9, members traveled to Edinburg North High School to be recognized and awarded for their achievements. FFA chapters that place 3rd or higher in any competition are awarded with pennants at the yearly Rio Grande Valley District FFA banquet.

Mission FFA was awarded with nineteen pennants and six certificates of excellence; this was the largest number of certificates and second largest number of pennants received by any FFA chapter at the banquet. A wide range of students participated and competed in numerous competitions ranging from individual events to team events. Students traveled to different parts of the state to compete, some for the first time in an FFA event. They are excited with the successes they achieved this school year and look forward to working just as hard next year.

The Mission FFA advisors are extremely proud of all the students that participated and look forward to more success in the future. Mission FFA was also recognized for having outstanding achievements within the RGV FFA District and was also one of two schools within the RGV FFA District awarded for participating in the Superior Chapter Ranking application process.
