Three students from Mission High School (MHS) are advancing to the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) regional choir auditions that will be held in November. They earned a spot in the District Mixed Choir during competitions held recently in McAllen.

The three students advancing are (pictured left o to right): Maria Pruneda, alto 1; Nathan Cavazos, tenor; Alixiz Garza, alto 2.

Students who do well enough at the regional level will advance to the area choir auditions in January. This is part of the TMEA All-State Choir program. Designation to a TMEA All-State Choir is considered to be the highest level of achievement for choir students in Texas.
