Saturday, September 30, Girl Scouts from the McAllen Service Unit volunteered at the South Texas Health Systems Injury and Trauma Expo. Girl Scouts volunteering assisted children who visited the teddy bear clinic and also helped make first aid kits. Girl Scouts also earned their first aid badges or pins by visiting booths at the expo with hands on demonstrations, presentations and information on emergency management and first aid. Girl Scouts took home a wealth of knowledge to use if needed in emergency situations.
