EDINBURG – The Edinburg Rotary recently honored the top eight students from the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department during its luncheon meeting at the Echo Hotel in Edinburg.

“We are so excited to be recognizing our many accomplishments from our students, who are participating in Career and Technical Education,” CTE Director Arminda Lozano said.

The students’ recognition is part of the Edinburg Rotary’s Student of the Month Program, which highlights two senior students from each high school.

“We provide many career pathways that our students are able to select so that they can get an idea of what they would like to do as their profession for the rest of their lives,” Lozano said.

The CTE program offers 130 different courses and approximately 14 different career clusters.
