HIDALGO – Although the Norteño superstar was feeling under the weather with early signs of pneumonia, Ramon Ayala announced his annual posada navideña alongside Alberto Kreimerman of Hermes Music, Hidalgo Mayor Martin Zepeda and longtime television and radio personality Johnny Canales.
Now in their 18th year of existence the annual posada is aimed to make certain the children of Hidalgo receive a gift for the holiday season. Last year 13,000 children lined up outside city hall to receive a gift from El Rey del Accordion.
This year Ayala and his partners hope to make the event even larger with more gifts for children and a lineup of music. The event is scheduled Wednesday Dec. 20 and will begin at 4 p.m.

More than 40,000 people are expected to celebrate the holidays at this event.
