Logan Dovalina, a student at Veterans Memorial High School has been selected for the 2018 High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall. He will perform as a Tenor 2 in February with the Honors Concert Choir. Participation in one of the five honor ensembles is limited to the highest-rated high school performers from across the world.
Acceptance to the elite group is a direct result of the talent, dedication and achievements demonstrated in his application and audition recording. Dovalina will join other performers from all 50 states plus the District of Columbia, six Canadian provinces, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Mexico, New Zealand, Qatar, South Korea and the United Kingdom for the performance at Carnegie Hall.
Dovalina has studied music for six years and is a member of his high school choir. He was also selected to be in the Texas Music Educators Associations All State Tenor Bass Choir in February of this year and was also selected to be in the upcoming honor choir at the Southwest American Choral Directors Association convention in Oklahoma City.
