Former South Texas College (STC) professor, Dr. Anthony Squires will be discussing his new book, “The Politics of the Sacred in America: The Role of Civil Religion in Political Practice” at the STC Pecan Campus, Jan. 25, 2018.
The purpose of this discussion is part of a speaker series hosted by the college. Attendees will have the opportunity to delve into the topics of public religiosity in the United States and signs of America’s sacred texts including the Constitution and Declaration of Independence.
The event is free and open to the public.
