McAllen High’s cheerleaders finished 11th in the nation at the National High School Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, Florida in February. They competed in the Super Varsity Tumbling Division against 40 other teams. They advanced to the finals and took 11th overall in the country.
“We have met teams from all over the county and the world,” Cheer Coach Jennifer Rodriguez said. “This is the most prestigious cheer competition around.”
