SAN JUAN – Seven school teams at Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD (PSJA) competed in the Destination Imagination South Border Bridge Regional Tournament on Feb. 17 and advanced to the State competition, which will be held in Mansfield, Texas April 6-8.

The Destination Imagination program is a fun, hands-on system of learning that fosters students’ creativity, courage and curiosity through open-ended academic Challenges in the fields of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), fine arts and service learning.

Those advancing to State include five teams representing PSJA Early College High School, one team from Raul Yzaguirre Middle School and one from Garza-Pena Elementary.
