PHARR – PSJA North Early College High School recently earned 2nd place at the UIL 6A State Academic Championship for their combined results in numerous categories including academics, theatre and film during this year's UIL State Academic Meets.

The UIL 6A State Academic Championship award combined the results from over dozens of state competitors who advanced to the second level of competition in their categories. Categories include: Prose, Documentary Film, Theatrical Design, Theatrical Scenic Design, Theatrical Hair and Makeup and Calculator.

According to PSJA Advanced Academics Director Marisela Zepeda, the students are deserving of this recognition as they work hard all year to prepare for competition.
