Cyclistas Urbanos, a new citizens group comprised of both leisurely and serious racing cyclists, held their first ‘day out’ on Saturday June, 19.

The group was organized by local citizens to support efforts for new bike lanes and other cycling related amenities in Edinburg. We join others to achieve a vibrant livable community and to create a bicycling network that offers citizens and visitors an alternate transportation option that makes important destinations throughout the city accessible by bicycle, and to cultivate a culture of cycling in the community, said group organizer Mark Peña.

The group meets every Saturday morning at different cafes around town and begins riding at 8 a.m.
