McAllen’s entertainment district is going to be having their annual New Year’s Eve celebration from 7 p.m. to midnight, when the NYE ball will drop at the corner of 15th Street and Beaumont Ave.

Some of the activities going on at the event will be the Photo booth at 15th Street and Beaumont Ave., food and novelty booths on 16th Street north of Beaumont Ave., a beer garden will be located on 16th Street near Chicago Ave. and a Children’s Corner will be setup at 12th Street and Broadway.

There will be one central stage for this year’s event located at 15th Street and Beaumont Ave. Bands performing include Highway 7 at 7 p.m., Chris Rivera band at 7:55 p.m., Marshall Law at 8:50 p.m., In-N-Out at 9:45 p.m. and Frijoles Romanticos at 10:40 p.m.

Parking locations will be at the Civic center located on 10th Street and the expressway and the other will be located at the McAllen Convention Center located on Ware and the expressway. The shuttle from the Civic Center will drop people off at 16th Street and Business 83 and the shuttle from the McAllen Convention Center will drop people off at Bicentennial and Beaumont.

Transportation to the event is free to the public. Shuttles start at 6 p.m. and will run until 4 a.m. Buses will depart from each location about every five minutes.
