Local golfers will have the opportunity to help “Celebrate America” on Saturday and Sunday, July 3 and 4, by playing an a new golf tournament with a very interesting format, with a 1 p.m. shotgun start both days.
Saturday’s format will be a two player scramble. After the first day of play four-player teams will be formed based on first day finishes: The lowest scoring team will be paired with the highest scoring team, the second place team will be paired with the next to last place team, etc., until all teams are formed.
The prize fund will be $1,625 based on a minimum of 50 players participating, and there will be an optional skins game. There will also be closest to the pin contests, and dollar drawings after play each day.
Food will be served following play both days.
The entry fee is $40 per person for members, and $80 for non-members, and includes green fees, cart and prizes.
