The American Cancer Society held Edinburg’s first ever Relay for Life event on Friday evening. About 1,500 people participated in the event which is considered the American Cancer Society’s signature activity. At the relay, teams of people camped out at Edinburg’s Cats’ Stadium and took turns walking or running around the track from 7 p.m. on Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event.
