The Pharr Literacy Project in collaboration with the Boys and Girls Club of Pharr, Parks and Recreation, and the Pharr Memorial Library will be hosting the 2nd Annual Pharr Arts Phestival on July 17.

The Phestival will be presented inside and outside the Pharr Literacy Project Building, 205 W. Park Ave. Pharr, and on Aster and Park Ave. streets. The theme for the event is “Happy Where We Are, Here in Pharr!” The community is invited to attend from 2 to 10 p.m.

There will be something for the whole family including an art exhibit, family performances, live bands, young artist. Admission to the Phestival is free.

There will also be a performance of the play “Bird Brains,” a short comedy with music, dance and original songs. Tickets to see the play are $5 general admission with performances at 2 and 6 p.m.
