It’s another beautiful week in the Rio Grande Valley . . .
In the spirit of recent Christmas celebrations, this week’s installment is dedicated to the special kiddos and families I’ve seen out and about!
We were so excited to celebrate the occasion of our son Beau’s 1st birthday with a wonderful gathering of friends and family. Little friends seen enjoying circus snacks and hot dogs were: Madelyn Huling; Jacob Garza; Ella Hartzog; Jackson Farley; Wyatt Robbins; Jake Cassity; Stevie, Blake, Peyton & Alexis Egan; Barrett, Bowen & Addison Pape; Gracie & Libby Percival; Caroline Baer; and Hannah & Kenaday Murray, among several others. Also milling about were parents Natalie & Garrett Huling, Crissy Garza, Tammie & Justin Hartzog, Sarah & Zach Farley, Nicky Robbins, Stephanie Cassity, Courtney & Steve Egan, Ashley & Andrew Pape, Elizabeth Percival, Julie & David Baer, and Janey Murray, just to name a few.
Also celebrating a birthday was Tommy Moore, who turned 2! Tommy had a fun backyard fireman party where Wilson, Maddy & Barrett Runnels; Hayden, Jonah & Finn Henderson; Ella & Sawyer Freels; Oliver, Maggie & Eli Schwarz; Reece & Landon Meyer; Gunner, Weston, Mallory & Emory Henderson; Cameron, Courtney & Caleb Palomin; James & Solome McAllen and several other great kiddos helped Tommy (and his family Richard, Stephanie, Caitlyn & Lily Moore) celebrate a fun birthday!
Enjoyed a stellar performance by some talented kids at St. Peter & St. Paul Episcopal Church, who recently presented a wonderful pageant showcasing the Christmas story. Superstar kids Mackenzie Roper, Gina Trevino, Stephanie & Christopher Chung, Maisen & Mikinley Heller, Garrett Hoffman, Sam & Mia Neally, Joseph Fletcher, Victoria Chan, Emily Countryman, Megan Cassity, Zenaida Gutierrez, and several others did a wonderful job in roles as shepherds, angels, narrators, Mary, Joseph, etc. There was even a very active nativity cow, played by Beau Marks!
Also seen at St. Peter & St. Paul recently were Gayle Wudarczyk; Carol, Kayla & Marky Rodriguez; Molly, Jake, Gigi & Lola Mejia; Rick, Linda & Logan Ramos; Jed Murray, Mike Broughton; Doug Young, Bill & Gail Matson; Pat Redenius; Dakota & Cheyenne Miller; Mark, Lucy, Matthew & Samuel Maddox. These families helped harvest vegetables from the church’s Garden of Eatin’ Food Ministry “farm” to transport to a local colonia just in time for Christmas.
Here’s wishing all kids (big and small) a very Happy New Year!!
Birthday wishes for this week go belatedly to Libby Brown and Tammie Risica. Celebrating today is Barb Kelly, with Sue Ellen Thomas, Karen Houts, and Geoff Hall blowing out birthday candles tomorrow. Friday marks the birthdays of Bill Martin and Angie Shupe, while New Year’s babies Lori Perez and Kelli Jones have birthdays Saturday. Happy Birthday, everyone!!
