At a benefit in her honor, Dolores “Dee Dee” Treviño told the Edinburg Review that doctors at MD Anderson in Houston have noticed the disease respond well to treatment she has been undergoing since June. Treviño says she will remain positive for the rest of her treatment, which ends in January.
For the last two years since Edinburg educator Dee Dee Treviño was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer Dee’s Angels, the group formed in her honor, has participated in McAllen’s Relay for Life.
The family sold more than 4,000 tickets which will be used to assist Treviño on thenumerous trips to MD Anderson Cancer Research Center in Houston.
Treviño suffers from triple negative breast cancer, a rare form of the disease known for its aggressiveness and recurring nature.
