Hope Family Health Center is gearing up for its 2nd Annual Clays for Hope Tournament. The clay shooting fund-raising event put on by Clays Unlimited will benefit the uninsured members of the community. They are hoping to top last year’s team count of around 30 teams.

Clays for Hope will be held on Saturday, Jan. 3, from 8 a.m. to approximately 1 p.m., or until all shooters are done at the corner of Trenton and Valverde Roads. For a little different action, there will be an Annie Oakley Event (last man standing shootoff), Flurry Shot Competition (two machines simultaneously toss the clay pigeons and the one with the most hits wins) and a BB Gun event for children. For the first time children between the ages of 5 and 13 will be allowed into a special BB gun competition.

Prizes will be given to the top shooters at this event! Previous prizes have been hunting trips and barbeque grills and Hope expects this year’s prizes to be even better.

Teams of four or single individuals are welcome to register ahead of time. Individuals will be assigned a team.

A barbecue meal, catered by Bad Bob’s, will be included in the shooting cost. Observers can participate in the meal for $15. Come out and have a great time raising funds for Hope Family Health Center.

Sponsors are still being recruited. For more information or to register please call Rebecca Ramirez at 956-994-3319 or email at rebecca@hopefamilyhealthcenter.org
