Saw Isabel & Ted Link dining out, and heard that they are just back from her sister’s wedding in the Davis Mountains, where its really fun to stargaze. Thanks to the McDonald Observatory, local homeowners are quite cautious about lighting …

Also saw Sandra & Ron Imhoof out to eat with their son and daughter-in-law, Joel & Martina, here from Prague, and on their way to visit California …

Lots of us have had children visiting, such as Mary Alice & Dr. Ignacio Magaña, out with their daughter Laura, whose original flight was cancelled due to our friend Alex.

Ditto for host parents Betty & Jack Bloomfield whose daughter Jackie has been visiting, though since Jackie came without children, what could they possibly do to have any fun?

Saw Sylvia Alanis busy out and about, then out to eat with her husband René — another couple enjoying each other’s company …

Seeing Mary & Gen. Derald Lary out made me miss having him at the airport. Aren’t we lucky, though, to have such a nice, easily accessed airport?

Saw Liz & John King, and June & Jim Ezell out, which brought back sorority memories of just the other day, when June and I were Delta Zetas, studying hard at UTPA …

Traditionally speaking, these folks made up their usual Thursday grouping: Sandra & Mike Frost, Gretchen Garrett & L.D. Clopton, Marilyn & Bob Hawkins, and Kathy & Jack Radde. If L.D. would only win that drawing again, he could buy all their dinners!

Visited with Marilyn Fox, who reminded me that the Easter Seals’ “Power of the Purse” fundraiser is scheduled for August 12, 2010. More details to come before the event …
