Lacks Furniture and Lane Home Furnishings will bring consumers a taste of home entertainment his-and-hers style with the Lane Home Furnishings “Made for Home Entertainment Tour.”

The family-friendly event features a massive 1,000-square-foot 18-wheeler. Inside the mobile showroom, visitors will find three complete home entertainment room solutions catering to the desires of men, women and families.

The vehicle will be at the Lacks Furniture Galleria south of Exp. 83 in McAllen on Saturday, Jan. 17 from noon to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 18 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. The tour is a response to research showing that more people are staying home, postponing trips and focusing on home entertainment.

Visitors will be lead through the truck to discover the latest in home entertainment furniture solutions, including Smart Seating with power adjustments, power outlets built into furniture and a wide variety of comfortable fabrics by Lane Home Furnishings.

Handheld computer devices ask visitors about their product and lifestyle preferences. At the tour’s end, they’ll receive a printout with a selection of home entertainment solutions that meet their individual needs. They can purchase the room solution on the spot.

Visitors can also enter a drawing to win thousands of dollars worth of Lane furniture.

“For the first time ever, Valley consumers can experience home entertainment designed especially for men, women and families,” said Carl Little, upholstery buyer for Lacks.
