Alejandra H. Gregory, 92, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 19, 2008 at her residence in Edinburg.

She was born on February 9, 1916 in Rio Grande City, Texas to Felix Hinojosa and Antonia Garza. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin Gregory; daughter-in-law, Beverly

Gregory; five brothers, five sisters, two grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

She was the last living sibling of her family. She lived in Edinburg most of her life and was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista in Edinburg.

Left to cherish her memory are her son; Melvin Gregory, daughters; Mary Alice Olvera, Frances Jewel (Joe) Olvera, and Rosemary (Phillip) Dougherty, 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She lived with her granddaughter; Melissa (Johnny) Limas. She loved to read her bible and her faith was her foundation in how she lived her live. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an inspiration to her family and she will truly be missed by her family and all those whose

lives she touched.

The family would like to give thanks to Nurses That Care Sitter Services for the many years of care, Dr. Rolando Yarritu for his gentle and tender care, and IPH Hospice Services for the support and understanding they gave their mother and her family. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Andres Carranza for his attentiveness and thoughtfulness. Lastly, the family would like to give a special thanks to our friends and relatives for their thoughts, sentiments, phone calls and prayers in our time of grief.

Family will recieve friends Dec. 21 from 3 to 9 p.m. with a prayer service to be prayed at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg. Christian services will be held Monday, Dec. 22 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home. Christian burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
