Josefina Z. Gallardo, 69, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 11, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. She was born on April 23, 1941 in La Villa, Texas to Gregorio Zambrano and Seferina Veliz Zambrano.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother; Cirilo Zambrano.
Left to cherish her memory; husband of 49 years, Victor Gallardo, Sr.; sons, Victor (Deretta Gwen) Gallardo, Simon (Angela) Gallardo, Ricardo (Sylvia) Gallardo, and Leonel Gallardo; brother, Enrique (Amada) Reyes, Sr.; sisters, Evangelina (Vicente, Sr.) Gonzalez, Florentina (Alvaro) Orozco; sister-in-law, Francisca Zambrano; grandchildren, Victor (Patricia) Gallardo, IIII, Veronica (Tony) Rico, Ethan Simon Gallardo, Zachary James Gallardo, Gabriella Gallardo, and Joseph Gallardo, great-grandchildren; Jared Gallardo, Jacob Gallardo, Jonah Gallardo, Jocelyn Gallardo, Derek Rico, Destiny Gallardo, Morgan Hernandez, Aaralyn Gallardo, Alexander Herrera, Andres Herrera, and Vanessa Herrera, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Gallardo’s hobbies included fishing, gardening, dancing, sewing and playing Bingo. She enjoyed drinking her coffee in the morning, but her greatest love was spending time with her family, dogs, and parakeets. She will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
The Gallardo family received friends Monday, November 15, from 5:00 p.m. — 9:00 p.m. with a service of condolences at 7:00 p.m. at El Buen Pastor Methodist Church, 705 E. University in Edinburg. Christian services were held on Tuesday, November 16, at 10:00 a.m. at El Buen Pastor Methodist Church in Edinburg. Having the distinguish honor to serve as pallbearers will be Victor Gallardo, III, David Perez, Manuel Perez, Enrique Reyes, Jr., Eduardo Reyes, and Vicente Gonzalez, Jr. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
