Jacobo Guerra, 68, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 29, at Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.
He was born on May 31, 1942 in Cuidad Miel, Mexico to Alvaro Guerra and Hortencia Canales.
He is survived by his brother, Armando (Oralia) Guerra, Sr., sisters; Adalguisa (Ramiro) Rodriguez, Nelva Salinas and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother-in-law; Jose Salinas.
Jacobo will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
Visitation was held Sunday, August 1, from 2:00 p.m. — 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg with a rosary held at 7:00 p.m. Christian mass was held on Monday, August 2, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Christian burial followed at Val-Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers were Luis Javier De Leon, Victor Bazan, Jr., Victor Bazan, Sr., Luis Perez, Ricardo Vargas and Armando Gomez. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home.
