McALLEN – Magic Valley Electric of the Rio Grande Valley recently awarded two checks worth more than $15,000 to McAllen schools.

Magic Valley Electric is a Cooperative with its customers as the “share holders.”  Every year, MVE takes money left over once costs have been accounted for and put it in an account. At the end of a ten-year term, they will distribute what they call a Capital Credit Check to the district. The amount is based on a proportion of the district’s electricity consumption for a given time.
