Students from McAllen’s James “Nikki” Rowe High School attended a Youth Leadership Conference at Texas Lions Camp April 2-3 in Kerrville.
Part of the conference had the students work on a community service component. The students cleaned boats and canoes while taping windows for a boat house to get painted.
The Texas Lions Camp is a camp facility for children with physical disabilities, Type 1 Diabetes, cancer, hearing or vision impaired.
Leo Club members from all over Texas came to the Texas Lions Camp and helped to prepare and beautify the camp for the children who will be coming to camp this summer.
