McAllen’s James “Nikki” Rowe High School had

seven students qualify for the state Technology Student Association

(TSA) competition later this spring.

At the Regional TSA competition, held March 25

at South Texas College, the students won the following awards: Jose

Aldape (3rd place, RC Control; 1st  place, Sports 1 page photograph

color; 2nd place, Desktop wall paper); Daniel Carrasco (4th place,

RC Control); Brenda De Leon (5th place, RC Control; 1st place,

Sports 1 page photograph color); Anica Alfaro (1st place, Sports 1

page photograph color; 1st place, Landscape 1 page photograph

color; 1st place, Portrait photo, 1pg B/W); Tiffany Trevino (1st

place, Working Drawings single part); Matthew Amaro (1st place,

Working Drawings Residential over 2000 square feet; 1st place, 3D

Model Home; 4th place, 2D Architectural CAD; 1st place,

Architecture Video 60 Sec); and Guillermo Gomez (2nd Place, Essay

on Technology).
