DENTON — Seth Thomas scored the deciding run on a balk with one out in the top of the seventh inning as Denison rallied past Denton, 5-4, and moved into third place in District 5-5A action on Friday night.
One play earlier Nick Sparks scored on an error to tie the game for Denison (5-14, 2-1), which hosts Denton Braswell at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
Nate Maulsby doubled and scored, Dalton Souther singled, drove in a run and scored, Zach Sanders singled and scored Garrett Maxwell picked up the win in relief and Kaleb McCalister got the final two outs to earn the save for the Yellow Jackets.
Bonham 5, Princeton 4 (10)
BONHAM — Austin Simmerman’s one-out walk-off single to center completed Bonham’s comeback victory in district action against Princeton on Saturday.
Simmerman also walked four times and scored, Trevor Hartwell doubled, drove in a run and scored, Kade Trompler was 2-for-5 and scored, Austin Fortune scored twice and Wyatt Dolberry allowed one hit in three innings of relief to get the victory for Bonham (11-6, 2-0), which gained sole possession of first place with the win. The Warriors trailed 4-0 going to the bottom of the fourth before scoring in the next three innings to tie the game.
Melissa 7, Aubrey 2
AUBREY — Tate Whittington was 2-for-4 with a homer, two RBI and scored twice as Melissa beat Aubrey in district action on Friday night.
Adam Davis doubled and drove in three runs, Grayson Hurst was 2-for-3 and scored, Brady Morrison doubled and scored twice and Dalton Vestal doubled, drove in a run and scored for Melissa (6-13, 1-1), which scored all its runs over the final two innings.
Celina 6, Anna 0
CELINA — Marshall Good singled during Anna’s district loss against Celina on Friday night.
Koy Harris also singled and Zach Howard walked for Anna (7-8, 0-2).
S&S 3, Pilot Point 2
PILOT POINT — Manuel Duarte doubled, drove in two runs and scored as S&S edged Pilot Point in district play on Saturday.
Jacob Miller singled, walked and drove in a run, Blake Jack singled, walked and drove in a run and Ace Everett scored and scattered seven hits over six and two-thirds innings to get the win for S&S (5-10, 2-3).
Conner Lynch was 3-for-4 with two RBI while Gage Rider singled and walked and Jacob Pitts and Bryson Griffin scored for Pilot Point (1-12, 0-4).
Whitesboro 22, Ponder 4 (5)
PONDER — Nolan Frith was 4-for-4 with three doubles and eight RBI as Whitesboro run-ruled Ponder in district action on Friday night.
Dalton Vanlandingham was 3-for-4 with a triple, drove in a run and scored three times, Cayden Cobb was 3-for-4 with a double, three RBI and four runs, Noah Griesen was 2-for-3 with a double and scored three times, Weston Hickman was 2-for-2 with two walks, drove in a run and scored four times, Kade Brewer was 2-for-3 with a double, two walks, drove in a run and scored four times and Bailey Luton homered and drove in two runs for Whitesboro (10-4, 3-1), which moved into a second-place tie with Pottsboro.
Howe 6, Van Alstyne 1
VAN ALSTYNE — Mason Riggs and Matt Griffin combined to allow just two hits and strike out eight as Howe defeated Van Alstyne in district action on Friday night.
Riggs also walked three times and scored, Peyton Reagan was 2-for-4 and scored twice, Dyson Dillard walked twice and scored and Tyler Grisham doubled and scored for Howe (12-5, 4-1), which took over first place with Leonard’s loss to Farmersville.
Chandler David singled and scored, Tyler Neshyba singled and walked and Chase Wilson walked twice and drove in a run for Van Alstyne (8-5, 2-2).
Whitewright 1, Commerce 0
WHITEWRIGHT — Seth Williams’ one-out single in the bottom of the seventh inning lifted Whitewright to a district victory against Commerce on Saturday.
Burke Hosier was hit by a pitch and Dylan Cordell singled before Braden Ritchie’s one-out single loaded the bases to set the table for Williams’ game-winning hit.
Williams and Ritchie each went 2-for-3 while Payton Jones scattered 10 hits and two walks, striking out five to earn the shutout victory for Whitewright (4-13, 2-3).
Farmersville 3, Leonard 1
FARMERSVILLE — Chance Sanderson had the only hit for Leonard during a district loss against Farmersville on Saturday night.
Dalton Tonubbee scored and Michael Shulze walked for Leonard (7-7, 3-1), which fell into a second-place tie with the Farmers.
Collinsville 9, Chico 5
CHICO — Garrett Vannoy was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and three RBI as Collinsville beat Chico in district action on Friday night.
Coby Riley tripled and drove in two runs, Hunter Brewer was 3-for-4 and scored, Sammy Jenkins doubled and scored three times and Austin Reed tripled and drove in a run for Collinsville.
Trenton 11, Blue Ridge 1 (6)
TRENTON — Nick Lozano allowed an unearned run on a hit with a walk and four strikeouts as first-place Trenton run-ruled Blue Ridge in district action on Saturday.
Christian Wilkins was 3-for-4 with three RBI and scored, Raul Caro was 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBI and two runs, Kaiden West was 2-for-3, drove in a run and scored, Justin Lambright doubled and scored three runs and Zackary Cranford doubled, drove in a run and scored for Trenton (11-5, 4-0).
Jason Price singled and scored for Blue Ridge.
Bells 8, Celeste 5
ANNA — Stephen Hinds was 3-for-5 and scored twice as Bells defeated Celeste in district action on Friday night.
Tuff Dowlen was 2-for-4 and drove in a run, Hunter Hawthorne tripled and scored three times, Chance Morse drove in a run and scored twice and Tyler Hawthorne tripled and drove in a run for Bells (9-5, 3-1).
Tom Bean 7, Savoy 4
SAVOY — Dillon Curd was 2-for-4 with a double, drove in a run and scored twice as Tom Bean beat Savoy in district action on Friday.
Perry Williams was 2-for-2 with two walks and scored, Dylan Harmon was 2-for-4, drove in a run and scored, Alec Narro was 2-for-4 and drove in a run, Garrett Gomez drove in a run and scored twice and Zach Lusk doubled and scored for Tom Bean (5-10, 1-3).
Braeden Dillon was 2-for-3 and scored, Patrik McCauley singled, drove in a run and scored and Jonny Stone and Lane Block drove in runs for Savoy (4-7, 1-3).

ECTOR — Zayne Kennon was 3-for-4 with a double, four RBI and scored twice as Dodd City outlasted Ector in non-district action on Saturday.
Zach Kennon was 3-for-5 with two RBI and scored, Alec Simpson singled, drove in a run and scored three times, Pate Wilkerson and Tyler Babers each singled, drove in a run and scored twice and Baylee Graves doubled, drove in a run and scored for Dodd City, which scored eight runs in the seventh only for Ector to tie the game with eight runs in the bottom of the inning.
