The spring ball sports campaign is into the final two weeks of the regular season, with EHS and North going head to head in both baseball and softball.

The baseball Bobcats (7-2, 18-4) knocked off Harlingen 4-3 in their last game, but North was blanked by P-SJ-A 7-0 to fall to 6-3 15-5.

In softball, North (7-3, 20-4) clobbered Econ (2-8, 7-15) Thursday behind one-hit pitching from Iliana Hinojosa and five RBI, including a three-run homer, by promising sophomore catcher Victoria Cardenas. EHS edged P-SJ-A 7-6 and is tied with North at 7-3, 18-7 overall. The Lady’ Cats can nose ahead of their rival this week as they take on the Lady Jags while North was set for a road game against Pharr North.
