The Edinburg Parks & Recreation Department announces this years Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit and Run Competition sponsored by Aquafina. The Pitch, Hit, and Run Competition is a baseball skills competition that allows youngsters to showcase their talents in pitching, hitting, and base-running with scores determined by individual performances in each skills event.

The Pitch, Hit, and Run Competition is FREE to any boy and girl between the ages of 7 to 14. Winners will advance to the Sectional Competition to Del Rio on May 19, 2009 at 11 a.m.

The Local Pitch, Hit, and Run will be held Saturday, April 18, from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm at Edinburg Municipal Park located on the corner of Raul Longoria Road and Sprague Street. Parents can pre-register their child until 12:00 p.m., Friday, April 17, 2009 at the Edinburg Parks and Recreation Department.

Late registration will be taken on Saturday, April 18, from 10:30 a.m.-11:45 a.m. at the competition site. Parents must present their child’s birth certificate.
