A handful of the guys will be back this summer for the Edinburg Roadrunners but a pair will be playing for the franchise's newest rival.

As the ‘Runners look to the beginning of the North American League schedule May 25, they can count on two hitters and two pitchers who led the team to the playoffs last season. Infielder Felix Molina (.331, 47 RBI) and outfielder Robert Matlock (.301, 55 walks) are back this summer, along with swingman Aaron Guerra (6-1 mark in 2010) and closer Julio Castro (career-high 24 saves) to give manager Steve Maddock an experienced core of veterans.

Meanwhile, the McAllen Thunder, a newly formed unit that will compete with the Roadrunners and Harlingen White Wings, have two ex Edinburg stars. Outfielder A.C. Concepcion (.304, 54 RBI) and infielder Wilson Batista (.301, 34 doubles) will head the Thunder lineup for manager Matt Stark.

The McAllen entry also starts May 25, in San Angelo, while Edinburg begins a 4-game series against the Wings at Edinburg Baseball Stadium.
