The McAllen Chamber of Commerce is hosting the McAllen International Birding Festival April 18 through May 3, featuring trips to Monterrey, Mexico; Costa Rica; and birding centers throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
“The McAllen International Birding Tours now focuses on birding trips to the best birding destinations throughout South Texas, Mexico, and Central America,” said Annabell Cortina, Director of Media & Special Events for the McAllen Chamber of Commerce Convention and Visitors’ Bureau. “We would like to invite all birders and nature lovers to join us on these wonderful trips. Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate, or advanced birder these trips have something for everyone,” said Cortina.
The first birding trip departs from McAllen and travels to Monterrey, Nuevo Leon Mexico from April 18-21. Immediately following, will be field trips throughout Texas’ Rio Grande Valley April 22-24, and finally to Costa Rica April 25-May 3, 2009. The three birding destinations are priced separately, so you can bird one, two or all three. Expert leaders will guide attendees to the best birding locations. International trips are limited in size so register early to reserve a space.
