The thing I love about all of you, is that I never quit learning. Everywhere I go, and everyone I talk to - is a new experience.
I love having the opportunity to introduce you to bits and pieces of our community that you might not know about, things that make us, the Rio Grande Valley, who we are. And rightly so, learning about where you all come from, and why you are the way you are - is a real treat.
Take this past week for example, we've been on our activity director boot camp. I feel it is my responsibility to give your activity and tour directors the royal treatment, and introduce them to things with hopes that they will bring that information to you. Just this week, we've strolled through the halls of two very different museums. Our first stop was the Museum of South Texas History in Edinburg - and our second stop was at the Museums of San Benito.
Both so rich in culture, and each offering so much - I encourage you to make at least one visit to each of them this season. But don't stop just there, while you visit each community, take a second to show them your presence, as one day I know you will be a part of each of them.
You are such a big part of our culture, and on behalf of the entire Rio Grande Valley - I am honored to welcome you to our communities, and would like to say thank you for choosing us. Thank you for all that you do for us, whether it be patronizing our local business, donating your time and talents to our communities and non profits, or all of the above, we are so very thankful that you're here.
Hope to see you all real soon,
